Summer Nights in Brentwood: Music, Memories, and Community

One of the things I’ve always loved about living in Brentwood is how intentional the city is about creating spaces for families to connect, unwind, and just enjoy being together. When the weather warms up and summer rolls around, nothing says “community” like a blanket spread out on the grass, a picnic basket in hand, and live music filling the air.

This year, the City of Brentwood is once again hosting its beloved Summer Concert Series at the Eddy Arnold Amphitheater in Crockett Park, and the lineup is looking better than ever.

A Summer of Music in the Park

If you’ve never been to one of these concerts, it’s a simple joy that quickly becomes a favorite tradition. Whether you’re loading up the car or letting the kids ride their bikes to the park, the atmosphere is laid-back, family-friendly, and full of local flavor.

All concerts begin at 6:00 p.m. unless noted otherwise, and food trucks arrive an hour early — perfect if you’d rather grab dinner at the park than prep at home.

Here’s what’s on the calendar this year:

Yacht Rock Night

Monsters of Yacht
Sunday, June 8 | 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Smooth sailing into the summer season with the soft rock vibes of the late ’70s and early ’80s. Bring your lawn chairs, kick off your shoes, and enjoy the nostalgic sounds under the early June sky.

Country Night

Mustache the Band
Sunday, June 22 | 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Get ready for a night of high-energy, boot-stomping fun. Mustache the Band brings the party with their throwback country hits — think 90s honky-tonk with a big sense of humor.

Brentfest

Cruzin Keys Dueling Pianos + Rubiks Groove
Saturday, June 28 | 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.

This is the one to bring the whole neighborhood out for. Brentfest features dueling pianos to kick things off, followed by a full-on dance party with Rubiks Groove. Expect lots of singalongs, bright colors, and ‘80s and ‘90s hits you forgot you remembered.

Red, White, and Boom

The Downtown Band
Friday, July 4 | 7:00 – 10:00 p.m.

Brentwood’s signature Fourth of July celebration lands, as always, on the holiday itself — regardless of the day of the week. This is the city’s biggest night of the summer, featuring music from The Downtown Band, and of course, fireworks to close it all out.

Make a Night of It

Concerts are held at Crockett Park’s Eddy Arnold Amphitheater (1500 Volunteer Parkway), one of Brentwood’s most beautiful and accessible spaces. There’s something really special about watching the sun go down behind the trees while music plays and kids run barefoot in the grass.

If you’re looking for an easy way to spend time with family and neighbors this summer, mark your calendar and head to the park. This is what makes Brentwood feel like home.
