A Fresh Destination Is Coming to Franklin: Meet Canteen on Carothers

Franklin is about to welcome an exciting new addition — and it’s more than just a development. It’s a lifestyle hub. Canteen on Carothers, a mixed-use project spanning 10 acres, is officially coming to the 800 block of Crescent Center Drive, right off the east side of I-65.

This new space is designed to be both functional and fun — a place that supports busy professionals during the workweek and transforms into a lively community hangout on evenings and weekends. With a mix of dining, retail, recreation, and entertainment, Canteen is aiming to become a go-to destination for locals and visitors alike.

At the heart of the project are six thoughtfully placed buildings, centered around a walkable plaza and anchored by a four-level parking deck with 600 spaces. But this isn’t your average parking structure — it will also feature a covered stage for live performances, a peaceful water feature, and a layout designed for open-air events and gatherings.

Canteen on Carothers is about blending convenience with culture. The focus is on creating a vibrant, pedestrian-friendly environment where people can connect — whether they’re meeting for coffee, enjoying a workout, or grabbing dinner and drinks after work.

Confirmed tenants include a mix of beloved local and regional favorites:

  • Char Restaurant – Elevated Southern dishes in a polished setting
  • Barre3 – A community-driven fitness studio that combines strength, cardio, and mindfulness
  • PennePazze – Authentic Italian comfort food served fast and fresh
  • Scouts Barbershop – A modern, relaxed space offering quality cuts and great conversation

The project is being led by Stockbridge Capital Group, a firm focused on forward-thinking developments that prioritize connection, walkability, and community-building — values that are becoming increasingly important in suburban areas like Williamson County.

Canteen on Carothers isn’t just another shopping center — it’s a destination built for everyday life. Whether you’re stopping by for a weekday lunch or catching a show on the weekend, this new hub is set to bring a fresh wave of energy to Franklin.

Stay tuned — we can’t wait to see this one come to life!
