Brentwood Housing Market: What You Need to Know

Once you have found the perfect home make sure to gather the right documents to get your children registered for school in Williamson County:

Required Documents:

  • Proof of Age: Birth certificate or official birth record.
  • Proof of Residency:
    Lease, settlement statement, warranty deed, mortgage statement, or utility bill (within the last month).
  • Immunization Records: Tennessee Certificate of Immunization signed by a healthcare provider.
  • Physical Exam: Required for early childhood, pre-K, or Kindergarten.
  • Parent/Guardian ID: Driver’s license, passport, or passport card.
  • Custody Documentation: If applicable, legal custody or court parenting plans.

Immunization Requirements:
DTaP, MMR, IPV/OPV, Varicella, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis A.

Special Considerations:

  • Kindergarten Enrollment: Must be 5 years old by August 15.
  • Out-of-Zone Applications: Submit online from early February to mid-April.

Notes:

You must close on your home before you can register for school!!

No strict deadline, but register early for a smoother process.
