Our Favorite Coffee Shops Around Nashville

When we recommend a coffee shop, it is because we actually go there! We meet clients there and grab a quiet minute between showings. We catch up with friends, unwind, and get a feel for the neighborhood. We love the vibe of Nashville’s coffee scene and want to share our favorites with you.

If you are new to Nashville, exploring communities, or just love discovering spots that locals really use, these are the ones that have earned their place on our list.

We hope you try a few and start building your own favorites.

Williamson County Favorites

Crema- Brentwood

We find ourselves coming back to Crema whenever we want something calm and consistent. The vanilla iced matcha is our order most days. And when we really treat ourselves, we add the almond croissant from Dozen Bakery. It is simple, relaxed, and the kind of quiet reset we need in the middle of a busy week.

Honest Coffee at The Factory- Franklin

We like Honest because it feels like part of everyday life in Franklin. If we are already headed to The Factory, we plan to stop here.

1819 in Thompson’s Station

1819 feels like a place you stumble upon and want to keep to yourself. The historic house, the green grounds, and the slower pace make it a favorite spot on pretty days. It has a familiar, front-porch kind of feeling.

Fainting Goat- Franklin and Spring Hill

We like the story behind this one as much as the coffee. The fainting goat comes from a real Middle Tennessee breed that locks up when startled and sometimes falls over, which turned into a bit of local legend. The new Franklin location still feels hometown familiar. Friendly faces, easy energy, and the kind of place where you recognize people.

Hank’s Coffee Station- Franklin

Walking into Hank’s feels like stepping into a story. A gas station turned coffee shop, with vintage touches that make you want to look around before you even order. We like it because it feels unpolished in the right way. Comfortable, familiar, and honest.

Frothy Monkey- Frankin, 12 South, downtown

Frothy is one of those reliable standbys. We have met clients there, answered emails there, and had brunch there more times than we can count. Whether in Franklin or 12 South, it always feels welcoming.

Columbia Favorites

Muletown:

Muletown feels deeply rooted in Columbia, and that is exactly why we love it. Opened in 2013, the name nods to the town’s early history as a hub for breeding hardworking mules, and that same work ethic comes through in the coffee. We stop here when we want something honest and intentional. Their beans are ethically sourced, thoughtfully roasted, and consistently good, whether we are grabbing a cup on the way to work or sitting for a while and catching up.

Nashville Favorites

The Well

We admire The Well for the mission as much as the menu. Knowing your coffee helps support clean water projects makes it feel intentional. And their Daybreak burrito has become a regular go-to for us. If you like sweet potatoes, you will understand immediately.

East Nashville Favorites

Earl at Paloma

We like stopping here when we are already in East Nashville and want something quick but interesting. Coffee, thrift finds, and a walk-up window make it feel like a true neighborhood spot. It is the kind of place you drop by, not just “go to.”

Forevermore Coffee

This is one we recommend when friends ask where to take visitors. Great coffee, curated clothing, and a vintage photo booth where your coffee buys you five dollar photos.

Gulch Favorites

Barista Parlor

When we need to work without distraction, this is usually where we land. Light, open, and calm. We appreciate that we can actually hear the person across from us. I always pair my coffee with the cheddar and egg biscuit.

12 South Favorites

Lalaland

There is almost always a line, and we still go. It has that lively, social atmosphere that feels like 12 South itself. If you want to people-watch and soak in the neighborhood, this is the place.

Hearts

We use Hearts when we are moving fast. Walk up, great coffee, back to the day. Simple and dependable. Locals know.

Fast Times at Buck Mason

A little vintage, a little style, a comfortable place to sit for a bit. It blends right into the street and feels like part of the rhythm of 12 South.

Downtown Favorites

The Pink Hermit

When downtown is busy, and we want something calm but pretty, we come here. Inside the Hermitage Hotel, it feels polished without being stiff. A nice pause before diving back into everything happening outside.

Wedgewood Houston Favorites

Babu Coffee

Indian and Greek influences show up in the decor and the drinks. Masala chai, spiced lattes, freddo cappuccinos. During the day, it feels like a cozy coffee shop. At night, it becomes a bar, and it truly feels like a gathering place.

Volta Cafe

Energy drinks and smoothies are built around ingredients like NAD+, creatine, collagen, and colostrum. You choose how much caffeine you want. It is clean, steady energy that carries you through the day.

Elegy Coffee

Quiet. Minimal. Peaceful. This is a spot where we read, think, or regroup between appointments. No rush. No noise. Just a breath.

Why We Share Places Like This

Coffee shops reveal a great deal about a city. They show you how people slow down, where neighbors run into each other. Where ideas start. We share these because we believe knowing a place means more than knowing its listings. It means knowing where to sit for a while and feel at home.
